About Sabrina

Sabrina grew up in Fort St John and moved away after graduating from high school; she returned to Fort St John in 2010.  Sabrina has completed her masters degree in counselling psychology and has extensive training in family violence using a holistic therapy approach.  Sabrina is a published author of various psychology based papers.

She completed her bachelor degree in education and worked in the public school system for over 20 years.  Sabrina taught in all divisions (elementary, junior high and senior high) and was a learning assistance teacher.  She also taught a variety of other grades and subjects.

Sabrina was also a vice principal as well as a school counsellor.

 

She has been a counsellor with Trobak Holistic Counselling since she opened the agency in 2010. She has been a Clinical Supervisor since 2012.

About Samantha

Samantha grew up in Newfoundland but spent her summers working in Fort St. John prior to moving permanently to the area in 2007. Samantha has completed her masters degree in counselling and has training in family violence using a holistic therapy approach. Samantha has experience in couples, youth/children, individual and group counselling. Prior to her counselling career Samantha spent five and half years teaching primary and elementary aged children; both the traditional school setting as well as distributed learning. She travelled Northern BC and the Yukon creating curriculum specific to student’s unique needs and lifestyle. Samantha brings the same approach to her therapy; creating individualized therapy plans based on her client’s specific needs and goals for therapy.

 

She has been a counsellor with Trobak Holistic Counselling since 2012.

About Jodi

Jodi grew up in Grande Prairie, Alberta and went to school at the Grande Prairie Regional College and the University of Alberta, where she earned her bachelor of arts degree in psychology. Jodi has experience working with youth and families and she worked with at-risk youth in a strength-based learning centre. She helped struggling youth work through mental health concerns. In addition, Jodi volunteered at the Peace Area Riding for the Disabled Society where she helped lead a Youth Leadership program which involved therapeutic horses. Youth in this program are taught to become more confident, conscientious, and learn skills such as communication, team work,

coping strategies, leadership skills, and come out with a strong sense of identity and well-being.
 


She joined us as a counsellor at Trobak Holistic Counselling in September of 2017
